Claw Out Your Eyes
"I don't think I'll be needing these any more," you say to no one in particular as you methodically pluck out one eyeball, then the other. For a moment, the intense pain blocks out any other sensation and there is a brief reprieve from the horrors you've witnessed.
The moment passes, though, and as blood slowly coagulates on your face and robes you realize removing your eyes does not remove what they saw. Your vision, cursed as it was, may have even been a distraction from the steady stream of horrors now replaying itself in your mind's eye.
Also, you can't see any more, which puts kind of a damper on your adventuring. Sure, there have been plenty of warriors who fought without sight, but that takes a lot of time and discipline, two things you have in short supply.
