Eat some berries
You decide to eat some of the berries from the bush. They're actually quite tasty, and psychoactive. The peaceful green forest peels away into darkness. All that is left is the shimmering clear water of the pool.
You gaze into the water and see your reflection. You look closer and you can see the reflection of the pool in your shiny armor. In that reflection, you see the reflection of you. Ever deeper you gaze, reflection to reflection, until you're not sure if you're the pool or you're the knight.
The Knight reaches into you and grasps his (your?) hand's reflection in the water. He pulls the reflection out, and they (we?) stand facing each other.
Uh-oh. This could get interesting.
