ThreeOofsToAGyaaah

Summary

A phenomenon observed in augmented humans, this is a metric used to quantify incoming levels of damage. On average, it has been noted that there are typically three 'Oofs' that are sounded before the augmented human dies and emits a final 'Gyaaaaaah!!' sound. The pitch of the 'Gyaaah' may vary dpeending on the augmented human's sound card.

Impacts of Gyaaahing

As a subject Gyaaahs, they will near universally initially fall to their knees, before faceplanting.

Data recovered from augmented humans shows that they perceive their immediate moments post-mortem as if someone were looking down on their corpse and spinning around at a smooth, constant rate. Most data shows the augmented humans feeling some measure of shame, disappointment or embarassment for getting into this silly bother in the first place.

In rare instances of extremely high loads of damage being received in the moments immediately loading up to death (such as with an explosion), it is possible that no Gyaaah is produced at all.

Other Sounds

Whilst the 'Oof' is the most commonly produced sound, there are other sounds used as well, though they rarely seem to impact the average rule of three 'Oof' sounds to one 'Gyaaaah'.

The second most commonly used sound is 'AWWK--' which shares a similar profile to the sound non-augmented humans might make if they bang their knee against a table in the dark.

Disambiguation

There is no link between this and 'Oofs' of any other kind. Augmented human oofs are very distinct. No mothers in particular would be very proud of the sound.
