Retro Christmas

Every year during the holidays I scour the Internet for Christmas-themed retro homebrew to load up on my MiSTer. There are more! I know it! I just have to find them!

JollyDisk

JollyDisk – a Merry 8-Bit Christmas is a perennial favorite, with excellent SID Christmas carols along with cozy 8 bit scenes. Also includes an 8-bit yule log and jukebox.

PS1 Yule Log

RetroGameRevival's PS1 Yule Log is more of a campfire than a fireplace, but it's cozy with just the right amount of pops and crackles and Playstation charm. Some CD audio or SPU christmas carols would have been nice, but it's a free download.

RetroUSB's Xmas homebrews

RetroUSB puts out an Xmas homebrew game every year on their special blinky cartridge, and they also release roms of previous years' homebrew for folks who don't have original hardware. One year includes a nice little yule log with 8-bit Christmas carols.

Dustin Long's NES yule log

A lovely little yule log featuring color cycling pallets, sparks, and suitably realistic 8-bit fire crackles.
