Remain unconscious for some time
You do the logical thing, and remain unconscious for some time. When you awaken, possibly hours later, the room is empty, with only broken furniture and bloodstains on the walls to testify to the events that occurred while you were unconscious. You assume that whatever happened, it probably involved lots of action and violence.
It is at this point you remember that you never did receive the doughnut that indirectly caused all the violence and fighting. How upsetting.
