Pull yourself together, man!
You no man! You are an Adventurer!
This thought galvanizes you. Heart. Lungs. Liver. Nerves. Bit by bit, you pull physical sensation back to yourself. You become whole again.
You draw your sword. It blazes blue in the darkness. An Error is near. And of course it is, you realize with a laugh. You're inside it. Once they're big enough, Level 5 or so, they don't need to roam freely. They become a place and absorb the reality of whoever falls in.
You stab your sword outwards into the gloom and it strikes the mirror. It shatters, revealing the world beyond. You step out, back into the forest. You turn and watch the Error collapse. A pretty big one, you see now, Level 7 or maybe even 8. No wonder you didn't notice running into it during your mad dash through the woods.
Killing Errors has worked up quite the appetite. You pick your way through the forest until you find a disused logging road, which you follow to a misused gravel road, which in turn leads to an overused paved road.
At this point you have a choice. The road goes off in both directions, each way equally worn and equally bent with undergrowth. You were sorry you could not travel both, since you highly doubt you should ever come back this way.
While you're pondering this choice, you happen to notice directly across from you is a small detached building with a big fiberglass donut on its roof and a sign declaring it to be "Big Donut."
You're not sure if you're hungry enough to eat a fiberglass donut, but maybe they have hot dogs, or Cookie Cats.
